RIVERDALE 36, PJP II 14: The Rebels took advantage of four Jaguars’ turnovers as they avenged last year’s defeat with a convincing victory at Joe Yenni Stadium. Riverdale junior quarterback Lance Simmons threw for three touchdowns, while Byron Perrilliat ran for 130 yards and a touchdown to help the Rebels (3-0) remain undefeated. Riverdale raced out to a 26-0 lead late in the third quarter before the Jaguars battled back despite losing starting quarterback Austin Franzo to an injury in the first half.
