A Wiscasset man faces several charges after a crash on I-295 in South Portland on Friday night.
The incident began at 10:37 p.m. when a South Portland police officer was conducting a traffic stop on the southbound side of the interstate. She saw a Ford F-250 heading north at a high rate of speed.
A short time later, the truck, driven by Taylor Delano, 25, of Wiscasset, crashed into an Acura traveling in the same direction, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
The Ford overturned, broke through a guardrail and came to rest against several trees. Delano and a passenger were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with minor injuries. The driver of the Acura was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
