PHOENIX — A man was placed in custody at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium on Saturday morning, the site of Charlie Kirk’s memorial on Sunday, for impersonating an officer and bringing a gun into a prohibited area, according to an ABC15 report.
The Glendale Police Department entered an investigation with the U.S. Secret Service, which is at the stadium in preparation for President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance’s arrival.
ABC15 said it isn’t “immediately clear when police encountered the man,” who claimed to be a law enforcement officer.
Fox News reported that the man was armed with both a gun and knife and had been inside the stadium before being detained.
