CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Thousands of people helped set a record Saturday morning during the final Downtown Cedar Rapids Farmer’s Market of the season.

2,410 people came together in Greene Square Park to help break the record for the Largest Cereal Breakfast.

More than two thousand people all took a bite of Crunch Berry cereal at the same time.

The cereal crunch broke the previous record by more than 500 people.

That record was set back in 2016 in Lebanon with 1,852 people.

Cedar Rapids Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell also proclaimed Saturday as Cereal Day.
