A hayride crash at a Cecil County apple orchard sent the driver to the hospital and injured four others, including one child, Saturday morning, Cecil County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police received the call about the crash at Milburn Orchards in Elkton just before 11 a.m. The driver, a 25-year-old male, was taken to Christiana Hospital Delaware by a ground ambulance, the sheriff’s office said.

Four others — three adults and a two year old — sustained superficial injuries from the crash. There were about 12 to 15 people on the hayride at the time of the single-vehicle crash, the sheriff’s office said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
