If you need to use the Red Line in Downtown D.C. on Sept. 20 and 21, you might end up disembarking from the train and boarding a shuttle bus for part of your journey.
WMATA is doing track work between the Union Station stop and Rhode Island Ave., meaning trains will not run between those stations until Monday.

Free shuttle buses will replace service for that part of the Red Line.
Riders will be able to exit Red Line trains at Union Station, and board Red Line trains at Rhode Island Ave. to go north. The NoMa-Gallaudet U station is closed.
