Swansea City manager Alan Sheehan was left frustrated that Zan Vipotnik’s goal was disallowed in the first half of their defeat to Birmingham City.
Slovenian striker Vipotnik volleyed home Josh Tymon’s cross in the first half at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park but assistant referee Carl Fitch-Jackson raised his flag for offside.
Replays showed Vipotnik was being played onside by Blues defender Christoph Klarer and the decision proved costly. Substitute Lyndon Dykes headed the winning goal for Blues in the 94th minute.
Asked about the controversial first half decision, Sheehan said: “I believe he is (onside). I’m not going to make it all about one decision but in a game like this where two teams are going after each other, you’ve got to get them right.”
