HARTFORD, Conn. — A 59-year-old Hartford man pleaded guilty to a fraud offense Monday in the city after fraudulently collecting Social Security, unemployment and Food Stamp benefits.
Ricardo Santiago faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years, according to a release from the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Court documents and statements made reveal that between 2002 and 2024, Santiago held jobs with more than 20 employers and earned a total income of approximately over $580,000.
