It’s official. After local leaders and volunteer organizers said last month that the iconic holiday tradition would indeed return this December, the Christmas Tree Lane Association gave residents the all clear to mark their calendars.
The 105th anniversary Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the corner of Santa Rosa Avenue and Mariposa Street, the association announced on social media Saturday, Sept. 20.
“This year holds special meaning for our community,” the announcement post read. “After the challenges we’ve faced — especially the impact of the Eaton fire — we come together not just to celebrate, but to remember, reflect, and rise.”
Free and open to the public, the event is the unofficial kick off of the holiday season in Altadena and the li
