Clemson, S.C. -- The football game between Syracuse and Clemson has been delayed at halftime because lightning was detected within eight miles of Clemson’s Memorial Stadium.

The delay was first called at 2:09 p.m. because lightning was detected within eight miles of Clemson’s Memorial Stadium. The most recent lighting strike visible to reporters came at 2:40 p.m.

The 30-minute delay starts over each time lightning is detected again within that radius.

Lighting was visible to reporters inside the stadium again at 2:17 p.m., at 2:24 p.m. and 2:33 p.m.
