YOUNGHOE Koo has been brutally axed by the Atlanta Falcons.

The kicker, 31, made a key error in the closing stages of his team's 23-20 week one defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .

With the game on the line, Koo was presented with a 44-yard field goal attempt to level the contest.

The veteran missed, however, with his team going on to lose.

Koo is 15th all-time for field-goal accuracy in NFL history.

He excelled in six years with the Falcons, even earning Pro Bowl honors in 2020.

Despite his history with the team, Koo was dropped for the week two clash at the Minnesota Vikings .

Parker Romo was elevated from the practice squad in Koo's place.

The 28-year-old went five-for-five against the Vikings as his team triumphed 22-6.
