SOUTHFIELD – Anthony Naimi said they came close the last time they made the finals in the GAM Net Team Championship, and they have been thinking about coming back and winning it ever since.

The brothers from West Bloomfield, Anthony and Rix, made it happen, shooting a net 4-under 67 in foursomes to win the 35th GAM Net Team Championship Finals presented by Michigan Golf Live Wednesday at Plum Hollow Country Club.

Their 4-under best-ball total was enough to win by one shot over the 68-shooting team of Bill Wittenberg of Clinton Twp. and Mike Newell of Shelby Twp.

Two teams tied at 70, including the father-son duo of Mark Kavka of Troy and his son Alex of Royal Oak, and the team of Jonathan Joseph of Wyoming and Justin Knoper of Grandville.
