Porchlight Music Theatre launched its 31st season in grand style with the 2025 ICONS Gala on September 14 at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, honoring Broadway, television, film and recording legend Leslie Uggams alongside philanthropists Brenda and James Grusecki . More than 135 guests attended the glittering afternoon event, which raised over $200,000 in support of Porchlight’s artistic and educational programming.

The celebration was co-hosted by Porchlight Artistic Director Michael Weber and Broadway veteran Kenny Ingram , with music direction by Linda Madonia . Board Chair Brandon John Harrington and Board Co-Treasurer Sue Suchy welcomed attendees, setting the tone for an afternoon of music, memories, and heartfelt tributes.
