A Louisiana middle school math teacher was arrested this week after a detection dog was brought in to the school for a random drug search — and officers allegedly found a baggie of cocaine inside her wallet.
Virginia Somers was arrested at Westdale Middle School in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, according to WAFB .
The drug-sniffing dog started reacting around Somers, and indicated to its handler illegal narcotics were detected, according to the station. 3
Somers, 47, was searched, and the cocaine she was allegedly carrying was seized.
Testing confirmed the substance in the baggie was cocaine, according to the report.
