A 43-year-old York County man was arrested Friday after police said he threatened an employee at Newberry Elementary School over the phone.
Just before 11:30 a.m., Newberry Township Police were notified of the phoned threat and immediately responded to the school.
According to the police report, “appropriate security measures” were put in place with help from the West Shore School District, though the report did not specify what those measures entailed.
Investigators determined the person who made the threatening phone call was Robert A. Baley, of Dover.
Around 3:45 p.m., Newberry Township Police and Pennsylvania State Police arrested Baley and charged him with two misdemeanors, terroristic threats and harassment.
Police remained at the elementary school until Baley was taken into cus
