MICHIGAN CITY — A group of 14 teenagers and one adult were arrested Friday afternoon after a fight broke out at Michigan City High School.

One student was injured during the altercation and an officer was struck while trying to break up the fight, according to the Michigan City Police Department.

Michigan City High School's school resource officers requested help from various local departments for what they called a "large" altercation among students around 1:45 p.m. In addition to Michigan City police, officers from the Trail Creek Police Department, Long Beach Police Department, Westville Police Department and the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office arrived to help.
