A Bronx man’s claim that his wife was fatally stabbed on City Island by two men on a moped fell apart when cops checked surveillance video along their route — and couldn’t find the mysterious motorbike, The Post has learned.
Franklin Batallas, who alleged the moped duo climbed into the car and stabbed his wife when he got out to relieve himself Wednesday, was arraigned on charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon Saturday in Manhattan Criminal Court, according to court documents.
A review of Department of Transportation footage showed the couple’s vehicle traveling to Seafood City around 6:15 p.m., “however there is no sign of the moped,” the sources said. 4
