YOUNGSTOWN The Mahoning Valley Historical Society (MVHS) has started work on its recently purchased building at 250 E. Federal Street in Youngstown.

MVHS bought the former IBM building in late 2023 with plans to create the Idora Park Experience Museum.

The Historical Society is getting a brand new roof for the site thanks to Boak & Sons, Inc. According to the news release, the company is donating all of the labor and equipment for the roof replacement and providing all the materials needed at cost.

MVHS leadership said the gesture by Boak & Sons is much appreciated.
