NEWVILLE – Carlisle’s Ana Bondy has traversed the Big Spring High School cross country course several times each fall season for the last three years.

So, when Bondy, the defending PIAA Class 3A state runner-up, stepped onto the hilly course on a sun-splashed Saturday at the Ben Bloser Bulldog Invitational, a standout performance wasn’t a surprise.
