Two Mason City residents were injured Friday evening when a pickup struck a golf cart at Greenbelt County Park west of Nora Springs and then left the scene, according to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office.
Tom Faught, the driver of the golf cart, sustained minor leg injuries while passenger Darlene Faught sustained a possible broken wrist, a press release from the sheriff's office states.
A deputy was dispatched to scene at 7:43 p.m.
The injured were taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for treatment, according to the press release. The driver of the pickup was not located.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Mason City and Nora Springs fire departments assisted at the scene.
