Because no candidate for mayor in the Enterprise Municipal Election Aug. 26 won the more than 50% of the vote, a runoff election between incumbent Mayor Bill Cooper and Bill Baker is Tuesday.

Polls at the Moose Hope Gym on 4421 E. Lee Street will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. All voters, must present valid photo identification in order to be able to vote.

Four candidates for mayor were on the ballot on Aug. 26. Cooper garnered 48.1% with 1,903 votes, falling short of the 50% plus one vote required for a win. Baker garnered 1,168 votes. Mayoral candidates Lister Reeves and Richard Moore earned 849, and 33 votes, respectively.
