A charity fundraiser pairing trail running with beer keeps growing in Sarnia.
“We had 179 (participants) this year registered, so it was our biggest year,” said Erin Gilbert, one of the organizers behind Trail and Ale.

Participants pick between five and 10km runs, or a five-kilometre walk, on the Howard Watson Nature Trail and raise pledges for Rayjon Share Care.
They also receive beer in their race kits, and can attend an after-party hosted by local brewer Refined Fool, Gilbert said.
“We have multiple beer sponsors that donate beer for the race kits.”
Participants in the sixth annual event Saturday loved the course, Gilbert said.
“We’ve had people come up once they’re done the race and tell us that it was extremely well marked . . . (and) the course itself was be
