SEASIDE, Calif. —

Lead detective Tom Lange and key witness Kato Kaelin from the O.J. Simpson trial shared their experiences at an event in California, hosted by local police, discussing key decisions, critical moments, and lessons learned from the trial.

On Oct. 3, 1995, NFL Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murder charges in the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.

"What goes through your mind since it's been nearly three decades?" Lange said. "The same thing that always goes through my mind. Two young people were brutally slaughtered, and no one paid the price."
