Jacksonville’s annual Guns N’ Hoses boxing event returned to the UNF Arena, bringing together police officers and firefighters for a night of charitable competition in the ring.

The event, which pits members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office against Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel, featured 11 matches with fighters competing in three one-minute rounds.

“We work so closely on the streets,” Trevor Hall said.

Hall is the event organizer and JSO police officer.

“Obviously out there at work we get along great. We have a great relationship. But this is the time to just come in be those rivals and go head to head. But in the end we know we’re all doing it toward the same cause. We are here to help the people of Jacksonville,” he said.
