A fire caused an estimated $300,000 damage to a barn and several vehicles near Waterford on Saturday afternoon.
Norfolk County firefighters were called to the property on Concession 6 Townsend between Highway 24 and Old Highway 24 at about 4:40 p.m.

“Upon arrival fire crews were met with a large outbuilding at the back of the property that was engulfed in flames,” Cory Armstrong-Smith, fire prevention officer with the Norfolk County Fire Department, said in a media release on Saturday night.
Firefighters extinguished by 7:30 p.m. Crews from fire stations in Waterford, Port Dover, Teeterville, Simcoe and Delhi responded.
The homeowners contacted fire services after seeing smoke coming from the rear of the structure.
