AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo residents and community members from across the Panhandle gathered Saturday on the lawn of the Potter County Courthouse to voice concerns over an AI hyper-grid project planned for Carson and Potter counties.

Organizers said the project, involving Fermi America and Texas Tech University, could threaten vital groundwater resources that sustain agriculture in the High Plains. Speakers urged local city councils to prioritize the interests of constituents over those of outside corporations.
