ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - It’s been a month filled with recovery for a Benton Park West man after a hit-and-run while he was riding a bike.
It happened on Aug. 20th on Gravois Avenue at Potomac Street.
The experience has led him to join with others, hoping to see safety improvements on this main thoroughfare.
“I’m definitely thankful to be where I am and alive out of this situation,” said Thomas Kish.
Kish said his healing and recovery have been going well a month after the crash.
His bike was his main form of transportation to and from work. That route took him along Gravois. He said he was heading home on Aug. 20 when he got to Potomac.
“I do believe a white truck just blew through a stop sign and just hit me. It didn’t stop, and it knocked me unconscious immediately.” Kish
