LAMBEAU FIELD, Wis. (WBAY) - On Saturday, thousands of people honored the first responders who lost their lives during the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers with a special memorial stair climb at Lambeau Field.
It was also a chance to raise money for charity.
2,200 steps.
Roughly the same amount that over 2,000 people walked for the memorial stair climb at Lambeau Field on Saturday, honoring the 343 firefighters who sacrificed their lives on 9/11.
“It wasn’t a choice for him to jump on the fire truck that morning, so it’s not a choice for us to do this,” says Nicholas Conway.
Some walked 110 flights of stairs while fully dressed in firefighting gear.
