A COUPLE has been slammed for staging "one of the stupidest things ever" following their unique gender reveal.

The pair shared a video of the moment they found out whether they were having a boy or a girl.

And as the clip was re-shared on Facebook , people sighed: "Please don't make this a trend!"

In the video, the dad-to-be was seen sitting on a motorbike, revving it to inflate a balloon that had been attached to the exhaust pipe.

He kept revving the bike until the black balloon, which was covered in white question marks, got so huge that it burst.

As it did so, blue smoke poured out and blue confetti went everywhere - indicating they are having a boy.
