BOISE, Idaho — Electric scooters can be a fast and easy way to get around Boise, and Lime is the official E-scooter provider for the city of trees.

However, as summer reaches an end and days get shorter, Operations Coordinator Jeff Cody is reminding people to stay safe when riding.

“They're awesome to have,” Cody said. “It's just we really love for people to treat them, right, you know, and show a little respect for the next person.”

In 2022, there were over 250,000 reported E-scooter injuries in the United States.

E-scooter injuries are more common at night, especially between 6 p.m. and midnight.

To combat the dangers of riding at night, Lime scooters are equipped with safety features that make the scooters more visible.
