Manchester United are preparing to offer Kobbie Mainoo plus £44million to sign a Real Madrid midfielder in the January transfer window - according to reports in Europe.
United found themselves in a challenging position in the summer transfer window as they looked to strengthen their midfield before the market closed. Their attempts to sign Brighton's Carlos Baleba were knocked back after discovering their valuation for the Cameroonian.
