SAULT STE. MARIE — The Timmins Majors got shutout goaltending from Jaret Fenton-Chypyha as they blanked the U16 Greyhounds 4-0 to open their 2025-26 Great North U18 League campaign at the John Rhodes Arena, Saturday night.

It was the first shutout of the South Porcupine goaltender’s GNU18L career.

A potent power play provided Fenton-Chypyha with all the offensive support he would need.

Wade House-Sam netted what would prove to be the game-winning goal eight minutes into the contest when he potted the first of the Majors’ three power-play tallies.

Jordan Martineau added to the Majors’ lead less than three minutes later when he scored the first of his two goals on the night and season. It was the game’s lone even-strength goal.
