A much-loved DJ known as 'Speaker Flex' has sadly died, but "clung onto hope" even after a devastating diagnosis, his family say.

Richard Taiwo, described as a "phenomenon", would bring a huge speaker into birmingham -city-centre> Birmingham city centre on a custom trolley, spreading 'music and joy' across towns and cities as he "turned pavements into dancefloors".

Tragically, he was rushed to hospital in May this year with severe pain. Tests revealed he had inoperable, stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver, his younger brother Kirk Vassell said.

Despite his illness, he managed to enjoy a "dream-come-true" family holiday to Jamaica over the summer. Family believed he had more time, but sadly he died peacefully with his daughter by his side on Saturday, A
