BBC Breakfast host left grimacing over graphic image broadcast to viewers

An unexpected image that flashed up on BBC Breakfast this morning (21 September) left co-host Luxmy Gopal feeling a bit queasy.

She was presenting the flagship morning show alongside Roger Johnson, who had just participated in a segment documenting his experience of giving blood for the first time in years.

"I hadn't donated since before the pandemic," Roger revealed, admitting that his 21st blood donation had been filmed. "It's great and you feel like you've potentially done some good with minimal effort."
