Clifford Wildgoose, a 76-year-old former property developer from the UK, has gone missing during a holiday in the Costa del Sol. He was last seen early on Saturday morning at Patrick’s 19th Hole Bar in Puerto Banus, Marbella, around 2am. Mr Wildgoose was scheduled to fly back to Manchester later that day with a friend, a solicitor who accompanied him on the trip.

His daughter, Melanie Hall, expressed her deep concern, stating she is “beside herself with worry.” She revealed that there was no sign of her father at Malaga Airport, where he was expected to arrive. "We’re all extremely worried. I was going to travel to Spain this morning but we’ve been advised to hang on for the moment," she said.

Ms Hall noted that a £7 transaction was made on her father's bank card at a supermarket close to where he was last seen, along with several smaller purchases made hours later. She is anxious to know whether her father made these purchases or if someone else has accessed his wallet. "The friend my dad was with said he just vanished, that he was stood at the bar one minute and gone the next," she added.

Mr Wildgoose, who has health issues and is recovering from a knee replacement, left his phone and passport in his friend’s apartment in La Cala de Mijas, about a half-hour drive from Puerto Banus. He is unfamiliar with the address and only had some euros and his bank card on him at the time of his disappearance.

Originally from Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, Mr Wildgoose now resides in Whitby, North Yorkshire. His daughter described him as a “chatty, friendly kind man” who is well-known in Marsden near Huddersfield. She mentioned that Yorkshire Police have been supportive, and his friend has communicated with Spanish authorities regarding the transactions on his card.

The family first raised the alarm about Mr Wildgoose's disappearance on social media, appealing for information. In her initial post, Ms Hall wrote: "Missing person last seen at Patrick’s 19th Hole Bar in Puerto Banus. He’s 76 from the UK and he’s called Clifford Wildgoose. Family are extremely worried and police have been informed. Any information please message."

As the search continues, Ms Hall has also reached out to local hospitals in hopes of finding her father.
