Chase McLaughlin has been a reliable kicker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the past two seasons. After all, his 93.7% field goal conversion rate (minimum 50 attempts) stands as the best in the history of the franchise. However, the start of the 2025 season has been a completely different story. Through the first two games, McLaughlin has struggled. He’s missed two of his three field goal attempts and an extra point. Thankfully, however, his slip-ups didn’t hurt the Buccaneers too much. They currently stand at 2-0 and are set to face the New York Jets , who will be walking into the Raymond James Stadium with a worrying 0-2 record.

But even then, it’s not like McLaughlin can rest easy. Head coach Todd Bowles didn’t mince his words as he addressed the situation on Wednesday
