Grand final coaches Chris Scott and Chris Fagan already have claims on greatness.
They share first names and have both benefited through their career from the wisdom imparted by Leigh Matthews.
The avuncular Fagan took over a club on its knees in 2017, and now has the Lions in their third consecutive grand final. He passed Matthews’ record of 18 finals at the Lions when he coached them to their win over Collingwood on Saturday.
