Spent part of the weekend on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, and a few of those hours at a new winery on Kent Island, near Stevensville.

That’s about a 10-minute ride from the Bay Bridge at Love Point, the northernmost tip of the island, which sits between the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay.

Chesapeake Manor Vineyard , located at 2015 Love Point Road, sits on the left side of that thoroughfare as one proceeds toward the tip of the island, giving visitors an eye-filling look at the bay and the 4.3-mile-long bridge.

2023 marked the inaugural vintage for the winery, which opened its patio and tasting room over the past few months. While the tasting room is small, there are plenty of tables on the adjoining patio and far more, including Adirondack chairs, in areas near the tree-lined driveway
