CHARLES TOWN — The Jefferson County Commission discussed the Economic Enhancement Ordinance Update which proposed removing the requirement that commercial development projects be required to submit a concept plan. This agenda item was proposed by Commissioner Steve Stolipher to help “cut the red tape” and create a more streamlined process for new businesses to bring in more commercial development within the county. The Planning Commission would no longer have to approve concept plans and would only have to approve the site plan throughout the process.
