DALLAS — A 26-year-old man was shot and killed in southern Dallas, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 9:15 a.m. Saturday, the Dallas Police Department said in a press release.

Police found that a man was shot at the location and later died, police said. The victim was later identified as 26-year-old Calan Gilbert, the release states.

Marko Chavez, 22, was arrested in connection with the incident, police said. He is charged with murder, the release states.

Police are investigating the incident.
