GILLETT, Wis. (WFRV) - A 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Oconto County that also left another driver and a two-year-old hospitalized on Saturday morning.

According to the Oconto County Sheriff's Office, first responders were called to STH 22 near the intersection of Old 22 Road and CTH P in Gillett just before 10:30 a.m. on September 20.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a southbound truck driven by a 22-year-old man from Sobieski on STH 22 was reportedly hit by a northbound SUV when it crossed the centerline. The SUV was driven by a 24-year-old man from Gillett with a 2-year-old passenger.

The 24-year-old driver died at the scene. The 2-year-old passenger and the 22-year-old other driver were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries suffered
