RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office for a man last seen in Murfreesboro Saturday evening.

According to the TBI, 55-year-old Russell Childs was last seen at his Murfreesboro home around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 carrying a drawstring backpack and wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt.

Officials described Childs as 5-feet 2-inches tall and 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. In addition, he walks with a cane and has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without help.
