ST. LOUIS – One person was shot inside a Schnucks grocery store Sunday afternoon in north St. Louis.

According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. in the Schnucks store in the 3400 block of Union Boulevard, in the city’s Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.

Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. The victim was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The Schnucks City Plaza was closed during the police investigation.
