MARIETTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An armed robbery suspect is in custody following a SWAT situation at a home in Marietta early Sunday morning.

The scene took place at a home on Carolyn Street sometime after 4 a.m. According to police, the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Jevelious Bryant of Marietta, was picked up by a taxi, operated by Anderson Rojas, near a shopping center just east of the South Marietta Parkway SE and Lake Street intersection.

When Rojas went to drop off the suspect, the Bryant threw a handful of coins at him, exited the cab, and refused to pay for the ride. Rojas got out to confront Bryant, Bryant pointed a handgun at Rojas, and Rojas ran, hid and called 9-1-1 while Bryant entered the residence, according to police.
