OGDEN — The ex-girlfriend of a man targeted in a 2021 assault in Ogden was sentenced this week to up to five years imprisonment for conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.
Nickie Kay Holder, now 45, was sentenced Tuesday by 2nd District Court Judge Joseph Bean in connection with a plan to lure Dustin Smith to an Ogden apartment to assault him. Holder schemed with Jonathan Brewer to carry out the plan, and Brewer, 30, was shot and killed by Smith during the resulting altercation when he arrived at the apartment at 240 N. 180 East. Police were called to the scene of the incident shortly after midnight on Oct. 2, 2021.
