A 1-year-old child was critically injured in a three-vehicle crash on Saturday in Evesham Township, authorities said.

The crash occurred when a tractor-trailer ran through a red light at the intersection of Route 70 and Locust Avenue at about 12:30 p.m., police said.

One of the vehicles, a minivan, was carrying the child, who suffered life-threatening injuries. The child was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, authorities said.

Another person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, police said.

All parties involved in the crash remained at the scene and have cooperated with the investigation, according to police.

Route 70 was closed in both directions for several hours while authorities investigated, police said.
