The state of Alabama’s college football landscape took a hit in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, with the Alabama Crimson Tide falling three spots to No. 17 while their rivals, the Auburn Tigers, dropped out of the rankings entirely.

The new poll, released Sunday, reflects a shakeup for both programs. Alabama (2-1), which was idle this week, continued its slide down the rankings. The Crimson Tide now sits at its lowest position of the season, nestled between No. 16 Georgia Tech and No. 18 Vanderbilt.
