PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Two women are expected to recover from injuries they suffered in a crash in Peoria Saturday night.
The fire department said the women were trapped in wreckage from the collision involving two sport utility vehicles about 9 p.m. at Martin Luther King Drive and Western Avenue.
Fire Department Battalion Chief Josh Maroney said one of the SUV’s rolled on its side. He said crews used special tools to remove the women the vehicle.
Advanced Medical Transport ambulances took the women to a local hospital, but Chief Maroney said they suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
He said the driver of the other SUV refused medical treatment.
