CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated all across the country from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, and this year Conexion Hispana WV, which works to provide resources for the Hispanic community in the state and also put on cultural experiences, organized a Fiesta Hispana in Clarksburg.

At the Fiesta Hispana the community could come out to learn about the vibrancy of Hispanic culture through music, dance and food. Steaming and ready to eat, there was food from not just Mexico, but also food from other Latin countries like Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Peru.

Conexion Hispana WV member Daniela Alonge said, “We want to show our culture, our tradition, our food and share with you guys like a little bit of our home.”

Yumila Barreto is another member of Conexion Hispana WV as well
