Construction of a new state-of-the-art pediatric heart hospital in Oklahoma City will move forward thanks to support from both the public and the private sector, officials announced Friday.

The new 200,500-square-foot facility at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health is being funded by $200 million in state funding approved by the Legislature and $20 million from the nonprofit Presbyterian Health Foundation .

The facility will be named The Oklahoma Children’s OU Health Presbyterian Health Foundation Heart Center. The $20 million contribution from the Presbyterian Health Foundation is the largest commitment in its 40-year history, according to a news release from the foundation.
